"Confetti" by Jordan Smith - 12x12

Jordan Smith is a Nashville area artist whose works are comprised of layers of organic pathways. Smith created the first of his pathways two decades ago during an art class challenge to fill a sheet of paper using a single line without intersecting itself. Throughout the years, he intuitively doodled these wandering lines as an occasional creative outlet. In the early days of the 2020 lockdowns, he began to focus more on his art again, and that was all the spark that was needed. Since then, he has continued to evolve expressions through analog and digital mediums, seeking to further develop the narrative capabilities of these pathways.

My work is a journey through layers, each layer revealing a new dimension of the work. Through the interplay of color, texture, and form, I create an abstract landscape that invites the viewer to explore and discover. Each layer represents a different path, a different choice, and a different chapter. My hope is that my work will encourage viewers to reflect on their own journeys and embrace the endless possibilities that life has to offer.
